“Too many talented American players get stuck chasing empty promises ,” said CJSL President Paul Kontonis. “We’re proud to partner with organizations like SportsMate360 and Stomil Olsztyn that are providing real environments for growth and success and not ‘next’ pipelines built on marketing and false hope. Our players deserve better, and this partnership is part of that mission.”

Founded in Germany and Poland, SportsMate360 is a soccer agency and academy that connects emerging talent to European pro environments. From Bundesliga showcases to matches against top youth sides like Borussia Dortmund, their Polish base near Warsaw is already shaping the future of international football.

SportsMate360 is headquartered in Germany and Poland, with a world-class academy near Warsaw that trains players in a pro-ready environment. Their athletes have competed against top European clubs, including the youth teams of Borussia Dortmund, and have earned trials in leagues across Poland and beyond.

According to Gregor Nawrath, CEO of SportsMate360, the mission was born from a gap in the global game.

“As a former athlete and long-time coach, I’ve seen firsthand how difficult it is for talented players to find the right opportunities — not because they lack skill, but because they lack visibility, structure, or guidance,” said Nawrath. “I started SportsMate360 to change that. Our mission is simple: give players from all backgrounds a real shot at turning their dreams into reality by connecting them with international opportunities, professional environments, and the mindset needed to grow.”

And mindset, he insists, is everything.

“The biggest challenge is consistency — both on and off the field,” he explained. “Talent opens the door, but discipline, mental strength, and the ability to perform under pressure are what keep it open. Many young players underestimate how much sacrifice and focus it takes, especially when it comes to staying motivated through setbacks or competing in unfamiliar environments.”

So what makes a player stand out?

“Work ethic, resilience, and humility,” Nawrath said. “The best players I’ve worked with are never satisfied — they’re always looking to improve, listen to feedback, and do the extra work that others avoid. Natural talent helps, but it’s attitude and mindset that separate those who dream from those who make it. If you show up every day ready to learn, compete, and grow — you’re already ahead of the game.”

In a city as diverse and driven as New York, the CJSL continues to set the standard for serious soccer development, amplifying authentic pathways and standing up for a future where talent, not money, determines opportunity. This is about more than a tryout — it’s about futures.
